 WELCOME
Hope Of Joe is the God-inspired RESCUE MISSION calling, and audacious belief in Jesus for that calling, that we can take and share the true Gospel, build meaningful relationships with underserved and under-resourced people groups, all the while supporting existing church missions in
under-privileged, under-served areas in need, generally only accessible by boat.

All for the Glory of GOD: Father, Son, and Spirit. YAHWEH !!
Hope Of Joe is a US-based Marine Christian Ministry Project. Providing resources beginning with sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in support of established Christian missions in The Caribbean, Central America, then the Philippines and other South Pacific Islands, long-term.

Also providing a safe home-away-from-home for partner organ-izations, church mission trips, humanitarian aid, helping to plant churches, and again, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Made possible completely by our donors and sponsors. People like you. Praise God! Thank you.

Where possible, we will help organize clean water to families without it (the San Blass Islands in Panama are an example) and, if necessary, organize a one-time, simple medication (yes, one dose) to get rid of parasites debilitating their children, and the clean water will keep them that way.

As situations become evident, we will spearhead further humanitarian needs: medical, nutritional, housing, Bibles in a particular language, and alert the organizations we have partnered with that provide these services with on-site guidance and communications.

Bringing the Good News of Jesus and the true Gospel to people groups, that have never (or rarely) heard the name of Jesus..... Probably since the Spanish adventurers first took the gospel to the South Pacific....in the 1400s and 1500s.
A Rescue Mission as Christ came to Rescue us
Picture
First in North and Central America supporting already existing church missions/mission trips as crew, and we take the first year to get used to the vessel, shake down cruises, and repairs while serving, and then beyond, all in God's will and timing.

Misunderstanding this mission doesn’t change the reality of the human need or the Great Commission....THE RESCUE.
Let me repeat: What one thinks of this vision of rescuing souls for eternity, or of helping those less fortunate, doesn’t change their reality......
.......our hope and purpose is to change yours.

Captain Richard

So let me educate you about our reality and how God has qualified us for your support by reading
THE ABOUT US  page.

Captain Richard & First Mate Lori

We subscribe to the mindset ….“whatever it takes,” as opposed to…“what’s it going to cost” a limiting belief.

Yes, we are looking for contributions and donations,  along with the tax deductions you may enjoy (check with your Tax Professional for how that may be organized).

Of course, we will be purchasing all the tools/equipment, and gathering all the resources as required, as well as acquiring crew, food, fuel, supplies, and logistics, etc.

This is a major RESCUE EFFORT for building the Kingdom of God and helping other people groups in need, at
such a time as this. It is an 8-10-year plan for us....then pass it on.

Now is the time!! Our God has opened the door to success.

It has been 11.5-years since God gave this assignment and our taking action, waiting, learning patience, acquiring quality partnerships, and endurance......Obedience !

The initial need for $25 Million for the project (8-10 years), $50 million would be better. And the goal is to give most of it away in Christian
humanitarian services and relief during those years.
Please read About Us for more info on the How, the Why, and Qualifications

A power boat (catamaran or monohull) will be home base of operations, and for accommodations for the crew and church mission / organization teams. Long-range capable, and the ability to get to the areas of need steadily and without fanfare or much notoriety (sailing would use up too much time and way more maintenance and risk). Must have cargo capacity, food and medical refrigeration, and be safe. And, of course, where volunteers (and parents) can know their people will have a safe place to stay should that be required when in country.

She needs to be in very good maintenance and solidly built for safety and ocean voyaging. A place to hold church services and prayer, great communications equipment [Starlink], and good cargo capacity with enough cabins for crew, the occasional donor, and perhaps,  mission working guest.

This is where the crew will live for the long-term....some will come and go.
Yes, more information please

To help with the finances, it is well known that people will pay to travel to earn ocean miles for their licenses and we will be offering passage-making to that people group when necessary.
Yes we will purchase a
previously owned vessel and negotiate a superior deal.
Most all the boat models we are examining are 2-8 years old and will need some work/updates.

* It is God's vision
* It is an audacious plan
* It is a worthy plan

*And it is doable !!
-- And you play a huge role. --
